Craig D. HopkinsChief Executive Officer, President
Craig Hopkins has over 30 years of exploration and production experience in western Canada with extensive technical expertise in all facets of the business. Craig was instrumental in the acquisition of the Twining asset in 2018 and served as President & COO of the Canadian operations since 2020 and has been President & CEO of Barnwell Industries, Inc. since April 2024. He was previously a founder of privately held start-up which was successfully built to over 3000 boe/d entirely through the drill bit and sold to a Canadian major. Craig has also held various leadership and technical roles at Talisman Energy, Altas Energy Ltd, Crestar Energy, and Canadian Occidental Petroleum. Craig holds a B.Sc. In Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a Professional Member with APEGA.
Russell M. GiffordExecutive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer
Russell Gifford, a Certified Public Accountant, is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Barnwell Industries, Inc. He joined Barnwell in 1982 as Assistant Controller and has held the titles of Secretary since 2002, Executive Vice President since 1997, Treasurer since 1986 and Chief Financial Officer since 1985. Russell has also served as President of Water Resources International, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, since 1999. Prior to joining Barnwell, Russell earned a B.S. degree from Wake Forest University and was an accounting and audit professional with Touche Ross & Company, New York City. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of La Pietra, Hawaii School for Girls and the Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of Hanahau’oli School. Additionally, he is the Chair of the Audit Committee of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hawaii.
Alexander C. KinzlerSecretary, General Counsel
Alex Kinzler is the Secretary & General Counsel of Barnwell Industries, Inc. and serves on its board of directors. He earned B.A. and J.D. degrees from Case Western Reserve University. Alex’s father, Morton H. Kinzler, founded the company in 1956 with the Barnwell family in Shreveport, Louisiana, where Alex was born. Alex Kinzler joined Barnwell in 1984, and he spearheaded the entitlement attainment and development transactions for Barnwell’s resort property, now known as Hualalai Resort at historic Kaupulehu. He has served on the board of directors of the Hawaii Leeward Planning Conference, of which he served as Chairman for two years, and the Hawaii Island Economic Development Board.
Alyson M. Bilinski Vice President, Finance
Alyson Bilinski is a Chartered Accountant who brings over 20 years of finance leadership experience spanning financial reporting, accounting, treasury, tax, risk management, insurance, and operations finance. She has held senior roles in both public and private companies, including more than a decade with a mid-cap exploration and production company dual listed on the TSX and NYSE.

As Vice President of Finance at Barnwell Industries, Alyson will oversee all finance and risk management functions while also serving as a strategic partner to the executive team and Board. Her mandate includes supporting acquisition and divestiture activities, strengthening capital allocation discipline, and driving performance across Barnwell’s businesses. Alyson is recognized for her ability to build high-performing teams, enable transformational change, and balance the dual imperatives of protecting downside risk and creating upside opportunities.

Philip F. Patman, Jr. Executive Vice President of Finance
Philip F. Patman Jr. brings nearly three decades of global finance, operations, and capital markets leadership across oil and gas, power and renewables, industrial technology, and digital infrastructure. His background includes public and private-company CFO roles, board-level advisory work, execution of equity and debt financings, restructurings, asset sales, joint ventures, and cross-border M&A. He has built and led finance organizations, overseen FP&A, treasury, investor relations, risk management, and multi-jurisdictional reporting, and has partnered with operating teams to drive cost discipline and cash-flow generation. Mr. Patman's background includes senior roles at Pantheon Resources plc, MacroFab, Soluna Holdings, VAALCO Energy, PTT Exploration & Production, Ameresco, earlier work in independent power and project finance, and private equity/infrastructure investing. Mr. Patman holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin Plan II Honors program, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center. He is a licensed attorney in the State of Texas.
